Dilys White MCIOB is a 23 year old Chartered Construction Manager with a passion for encouraging children - especially girls - to see themselves represented in the world around them.

Drawing on her real‑life experience in construction, Dilys created Bella's Big Build to introduce ideas of teamwork, planning, and leadership in a way that feels playful, accessible, and empowering for young readers.

Dilys joined the construction industry at 18 years old and has promised herself to make the industry more accepting. She has experienced firsthand the struggles that women go through in everyday job roles, and knows that the only way to solve this is for young girls to know that they can do anything too and will not be scared out of big jobs!
